The Umstead Hotel & Spa's signature restaurant, Herons, as well as The Spa at The Umstead have recently been named to Conde Nast Traveler's annual Hot List. The national travel magazine lists the world's most up-and-coming restaurants, hotels and spas that are making big impressions on both the leisure and business traveler. In addition, Black Enterprise Magazine recently rated the Raleigh area as No. 3 on its list of Best Places for African Americans to Live, Work and Play, while Forbes Magazine listed Raleigh as the No. 1 Best Place for Business and Career.
